چکیده
The effectiveness of biohydrogen conversion from biomass sources is governed by the selection ideal biohydrogen-producing bacteria to achieve high and consistent production performance. aim this research was isolate identify a producer in local soil samples, as well evaluate its fermentability oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB). To end, preliminary identification performed using morphological, phenotype, biological, 16s rRNA analyses. further evaluated serum bottle then 1.5 L anaerobic column bioreactor (ACBR) investigate potential for two OPEFB-based carbon sources: hydrolysate ammonia fiber expansion (AFEX)-pretreated OPEFB molasses dilute acetic acid (DAA)-pretreated OPEFB. isolated strain, Enterobacter sp. KBH 6958, found be capable producing various via pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR) pathway. cumulative AFEX 45% higher than that observed DAA fermentation biohydrogen. yield after fermenting with 6958 1.55 mol H2/mol sugar, maximum productivity 98.1 mL H2/h (4.01 mmol H2/L/h), whereas butyrate (10.6 mM), acetate (11.8 ethanol (4.56 mM) were major soluble metabolites. This study successfully demonstrated biotechnological into locally which not only solves environmental issues associated industry but may also offer solution world’s energy insecurity.

متن کاملElectro-extractive fermentation for efficient biohydrogen production.
Electrodialysis, an electrochemical membrane technique, was found to prolong and enhance the production of biohydrogen and purified organic acids via the anaerobic fermentation of glucose by Escherichia coli. Through the design of a model electrodialysis medium using cationic buffer, pH was precisely controlled electrokinetically, i.e. by the regulated extraction of acidic products with coulomb...
متن کاملBiohydrogen generation from palm oil mill effluent using anaerobic contact filter
In this study treatment of palm oil mill effluent was carried out with the intention to produce hydrogen during the anaerobic degradation process. The hydrogen generating microflora was isolated from the cow dung based on pH adjustment (pH 5) coupled with heat treatment (2 h). The microflora was initially tested for its hydrogen generating capability for varying fermentation pH of 4, 5, 6 and 7...
متن کاملBiohydrogen production from oil palm frond juice and sewage sludge by a metabolically engineered Escherichia coli strain
Biohydrogen is considered a promising and environmentally friendly energy source. Escherichia coli BW25113 hyaB hybC hycA fdoG frdc ldhA aceE has been previously engineered for elevated biohydrogen production from glucose. In this study, we show that this strain can also use biomass from oil palm frond (OPF) juice and sewage sludge as substrates. Substrate improvement was accomplished when hydr...
متن کاملIsolation, Screening and Characterization of Hyaluronidase Producing Bacteria
Hyaluronidase has a panoramic use in biotechnology processes and therapy due to its therapeutic, pathophysiological, physiological and biological importance. Since much of the preparations of hyaluronidases are from animal source (bovine and ovine testicular sources) with limited sources of microbial origin, that prompted the authors to screen and isolate a new promising bacterial strain ...
